There is no big surprise that the summer car show season is without a doubt my favorite time of year. From small shows at Coffee and Cars all the way up to large judged car shows with vendors, music and food trucks; there really is no place that i’d rather be. If the weather is nice, I consider it the perfect way to spend a few hours with the family.
With that said, The Holy Black Show in Lindenhurst has quickly become my favorite annual car show. This year’s show took place on a beautiful Sunday afternoon on July 19th under the tracks of the Lindenhurst Train Station. There are so many great things to do and see at this show that it is hard to take it all in. The show seems to get bigger every year and so does the crowd. The vendors are selling everything you can think of from Rockabilly style clothing, Kar Kulture art work, hand made housewares and gourmet foods. The crowd is family friendly and the local stores are extremely welcoming for the foot traffic. Liquid Death was there with absolutely delicious free cans of all of their drinks. There were hot rods, rat rods, full blown customs, Harley Davidson motorcycles, all original untouched classics and beautiful resto-mods.
But it is just the overall vibe of the show that really sells it. There is nothing like it on Long Island. It represents all the things that Jester Cycles stands for. The crew at Holy Black should be very proud of themselves and the brand that they built over there. There is a sense of authenticity there that true craftsman appreciate. It is safe to say that we can not wait for next year’s show!!!
